Review combines an "Update" about the move to the current Banker's Hill location (an upgrade on the previous spot, conveniently located near Washington St, with the same chill-out music) with an earlier review of the original Gaslamp-area location, where he liked being able to smoke cigars or cigarettes indoors and was disappointed to find it had relocated after being away from San Diego for over six months. The white chocolate drink has long been his favorite there.

A Banker's Hill dessert shop known for its decor and presentation that Roger rated 3 stars, finding the desserts decent but not extraordinary, with a standout matcha green tea latte and dense macadamia nut cheesecake but disappointing, overly sweet fruit pastries.

A needed cafe/lounge for the Convoy area with puffles, coffee concoctions, and tea, which Roger reviewed during its soft opening — plenty of space with outlets, in a hip, modern remodel of the old Big Joy space.
Roger caught this Hillcrest donut-and-coffee shop mid-construction at the old Wienerschnitzel site and liked the fresh, hot donuts and strong-brewed coffee at the outdoor patio.
