A Kensington seafood spot with fishhooks lined along the walls, where Roger's reservation-night order of mac and cheese, ceviche and a whole market fish was let down only by a slightly bland fish that needed a squeeze of lemon.

“We ordered their mac and cheese and ceviche as starters!”
Made a reservation and was seated right away; mac and cheese and ceviche were solid starters, and the whole market fish was a touch bland on its own but good with a squeeze of lemon and eaten alongside the mac and cheese. Too full for dessert, with plans to return for Sunday oyster specials.
Stay in the neighborhood
Roger noted this Kensington gelato-and-espresso cafe was just a couple blocks away, calling it an easy stop for a sugar fix.

A Kensington dive bar Roger calls the epitome of the genre: stiff, quick drinks in a rarely crowded room, with whiskey and beer selections that are serviceable rather than special.

A dog-friendly Kensington pizza and beer spot Roger found pleasant to hang out at but not worth the premium on the pizza itself; the Cortez pie fared better than the 'New NY.'
