Now closed. Roger's review of Hammond's North Park shop, a welcome dessert spot for the neighborhood, praised the Kona coffee and chocolate macadamia flavors and recommended a 6-scoop flight to share.
Hammond's North Park shop closed in fall 2024 after roughly a decade in business, part of the small chain's broader wind-down of its San Diego locations (a separate Pacific Beach shop is tracked on this site as its own closed listing at a different Yelp business page). This page keeps Roger's 2014 review as a record, not as a place to visit.

“Get yourself a flight and try out a few different flavors!”
A welcome new dessert spot for the neighborhood, with the Kona coffee flavor a great wake-me-up and the chocolate macadamia satisfying a nutty-chocolate craving. Seating is limited; not dog-friendly indoors, though there's a 2-seat table right outside. Recommends a 6-flavor flight since portions are eaten in 1-2 bites.

Roger's 2022 answer for Mexican food in North Park, built around a surf 'n turf he described as bigger than most people's forearms.

A North Park bistro Roger had enjoyed for years until a Restaurant Week dinner brought rude service and no apology from the server.

A North Park brunch spot where Roger called the shrimp 'n grits, breakfast sandwich, and croque monsieur all "dank."
