Huffman's Barbeque & Catering is listed as closed on Yelp. The Lincoln Park spot had operated on Imperial Avenue since 1967 under founder Brooks Huffman; the strip mall it anchored was later renamed Brooks Huffman Plaza in his honor.
Roger tried the chicken and waffles combo along with fried red snapper and hush puppies, but after a 20-minute wait the chicken and snapper were cold and the batter over-fried with a bitter aftertaste — a disappointing visit despite obvious potential.
