Treated to dinner by a friend after a Costco run, Roger ordered catfish while his friends had salmon and yellowtail; all three entrees came out looking nearly identical with the same bland seasoning and skimpy portions, leaving him unlikely to return.
Stay in the neighborhood
Good for one thing in Roger’s book: a dog-friendly patio. The Black & Bleu burger was bland on a cold bun.
Roger rated this Mission Valley Tender Greens 4 stars, noting it's bigger but also much more crowded than the other Tender Greens locations he's been to.
The Mission Valley outpost of The Kebab Shop, a chain Roger has followed since its East Village original (still his favorite location); lamb doner, shawarma and kebab plates all deliver, though parking and lunch crowds are the tradeoff.
