Foursquare Fragments

Short notes from Roger’s older check-in history—kept in their original time labels instead of being turned into invented exact dates.

Foursquare was often a sentence or two: a craving, a favorite drink, a quick verdict before moving on. Those fragments are useful precisely because they are small. They show what caught Roger’s attention without pretending to be full restaurant reviews.

At Best Damn Beer Shop, the public mirror preserves a note from seven years ago praising the selection of sours. That is a strong signal about the beer focus, not a promise that today’s inventory is unchanged.

The Brazilian Guys has an even more specific memory: a stuffed hash brown with ground beef, cheese and banana. It sounds unusual on paper, but the note says the combination hit the spot. That is the kind of personal detail a rating alone would lose.

CHAKAA is a useful caution. Roger’s seven-year-old note is simply roasted oolong, while the current public listing warns that the business may be permanently closed. The old drink note stays in the record; the current status stays separate.

The older jinbucha note is similarly compact—kombucha, relaxation and probiotics. Thuan Phat Supermarket is not a restaurant review at all, but Roger’s note about finding the same Asian goods as larger chains with less crowding and lower prices still belongs in a food-life archive.

The public mirror also preserves a much newer Convoy craving: Roger’s Wienerschnitzel check-in from two years ago. There is no elaborate critique attached—just the fact that a sudden craving was strong enough to send him back. That is a useful reminder that an archive should make room for impulse as well as analysis.

These are source fragments, not current recommendations. The displayed labels—seven years ago, eight years ago, nine years ago and ten years ago—are preserved exactly because the public mirrors do not expose an exact visit date.
