The SD Foodie take
Editorial commentary written from Roger’s original photograph and caption. Roger’s own words are the quoted photo note above.
Nine small plates fill the collage: flat noodles, steamed spare ribs, fish over rice, beef tripe, siu mai, fried fish, cheung fun, har gow and a braised dish.
Even with the T8 typhoon that morning, it still couldn’t stop them from grubbin', Roger wrote, with a table of yum cha to prove it. A Signal No. 8 usually shuts the city down; the dim sum habit, apparently, did not.
