East Hollywood, Los AngelesClosed

An East Hollywood brunch spot Roger loved for its brioche French toast and a well-built baked-egg skillet over grits, calling the roughly 20-minute no-reservations wait for a table of four not too bad at all.

“If there is absolutely one dish that is a must have here, the brioche French toast is it!”

No reservations, but the roughly 20-minute wait for a table of four moved fast. Roger, feeling hungover, went with a baked-egg skillet (braised mustard, collard greens, mushrooms, gruyère over grits) and still made sure to order the brioche French toast, best with fresh fruit like apricot. No alcohol served, but BYO champagne with a low corkage fee.
