spicy chicken rice dish all day everyday! beware though...this place is full of high school kids....and you'll feel like a minority if you aren't "AZN," LOL!!
Roger rated this 4 stars, calling it one of the few spots near La Jolla with decent grub, with a must-have bison burger and a damn tasty Kentucky buck cocktail.
A University City Vietnamese restaurant Roger tried once around 2004-2005, rating it 3 stars and finding the pho and a bbq pork rice plate underwhelming, saying the flavors seemed Americanized rather than authentic.
A needed cafe/lounge for the Convoy area with puffles, coffee concoctions, and tea, which Roger reviewed during its soft opening — plenty of space with outlets, in a hip, modern remodel of the old Big Joy space.

Roger caught this Hillcrest donut-and-coffee shop mid-construction at the old Wienerschnitzel site and liked the fresh, hot donuts and strong-brewed coffee at the outdoor patio.
