The photo note
Wanted to try out the new dessert joint in the neighborhood. Looked promising with their good reviews & pics on yelp but all 7 of us were quite disappointed with the quality & portions! #swoon #dessert #sweets #sdfoodie #sandiegofoodie #sandiego #NuttyPs…

The SD Foodie take
Editorial commentary written from Roger’s original photograph and caption. Roger’s own words are the quoted photo note above.
The collage shows small composed plates and the printed menu: a $16 Dessert Tasting Flight with an amuse bouche, a smoked salmon puff with mascarpone, capers and dill, a panna cotta with Cara Cara orange and lemon verbena, and a chocolate-and-strawberry finale.
Roger went in hopeful — good Yelp reviews and photos — but all seven people at the table were disappointed with the quality and the portions. Later that night Roger posted a third stop, Tea Station, because their bellies were not satisfied yet.
The quick critique
What stood out
- A $16 multi-course dessert flight
- Ambitious savory-sweet courses
- Small portions for the price
Bottom line
Archive verdict
Ambitious on paper, but seven diners left unsatisfied — a clear miss.
